| Categories: News On 30/31 Jan 2009, Wei Lian partisipated in an outdoor show entitled River Hong Bao concert at Marina Bay. There, for the very first time, he debuts his very first new song which will be in his album. Best of all, its composed by the man himself. [Give a thought: living the life (a long process from learning to understanding), or life itself (cannot live eternally).
Take a step back: have you forgetten to live for yourself, whilst busy with your works, fast paced society and troubles?]
我们明白刹那很长, 永恒太短
一个人也要呼吸也要坚强
[A simple paradox that reflect how time is actually unmesureable (ie. As the names suggest, how can a spark of time be long, how can eternity be short?), so much so it is precious to everyone just like breathing and to be brave through all challenges.]
*My personal take on meaning of these two phrases of the song. hehe.

Nope, I don't have the lyrics of the song (not when the album hasn't released yet), well just based on my hearing from his live performances and then form the lyrics myself.
Anyway, Wei Lian pronounces the words quite clearly and audibly, plus the language used is quite relatively simple so it's not very hard to decipher the whole song. You can try it, and maybe we can sing along with him if there is any more public performance before album release. hehe.

However, hope you will venture overseas as you know our music industry damn narrow and did not give much exposure to local singers compared to Taiwan,Hongkong and even Malaysian. If you heard the Malaysian radio station(988)their DJ kept pushing their own singers right up to the sky and always put their songs on air like 曹恪，梁静如等等 ..

I think madam gave a good suggestion... weilian, u can perhaps think about madam's suggestion. I always believe u already have the singing talent but jus need a good written and composed song to show ur best. A lot of singapore's singers actually stayed in Taiwan/HK until they got popular then they came back. E.g JJ lin, Huang Jinglun, Stephanie Sun.
